Making a Farmville game farm look like it has hills and valleys is a simple optical illusion, but one that is very impressive once it is mastered.
In the game loading page of the Farmville game are pictures of farms that look like they have hills and retaining walls. As most people understand, Farmville doesn’t have hills, so how is this look accomplished? Using fencing – a lot of fencing – a Farmville gamer can create an optical illusion to give their land even more height and depth to allow players to have that house on the hill that they’ve always wanted.
Establishing the Height of the Farmville Property Hill
To establish the height of the hill that is to be built, the gamer should start with a corner piece. Each hill should have a corner if the illusion is to be completed correctly.
Beginning at a place where the first corner will be, a piece of fence is placed using one of the fence posts as the bottom of the first wall. Immediately behind the fence, another piece of fence should be placed, so that the post on the same side as the first one lines up, vertically, with the first post.
So, the left-side post of fence number two should be directly in line with the left-side post with fence number one and one “click” back in the Farmville game grid. – see picture number two below. Continue in this manner until at least four pieces of fence have been placed. The illusion works best when the height is created with four to eight pieces of fence.
Completing the Corner of the Farmville Retaining Wall
With several fence pieces rotated once, the corner can be completed by lining up the right-side posts of the rotated fence pieces with the left-side posts of the original fences. This creates the illusion of the corner with some height – see picture number three below.
Creating the Farmville Hillside Illusion
More fence pieces can be aligned connecting them to the piece that were used to make a corner and more corners can be made using the same method. At the point where the last of the pieces are to be attached, the fence pieces should be tapered off so that they appear to be on the side of a hill. In the first row of fences, the top fence is left off, then in the next row, the top two pieces are left off and so on until there is only one piece of fencing being added to a row. This tapering effect illustrates how a retaining wall would look as it tapers down a hillside.
To complete the illusion – see picture number four below – a few pieces of fence can be placed, aligning the vertical posts, along an adjacent “hillside” to create the illusion of a complex hillside.
There are many ways to play Farmville and other online games such as this that add to the enjoyment that was intended by the original designers. With a little creativity and experimentation, it is possible to create a unique farm that is vastly different from the Farmville’s that are played by anyone else. There are also strategies that can be used to earn Farmville game money quickly and expanding Farmville game farms and on the Farmville site there are answers to questions that are frequently asked.
